Scales
A scale is a group of musical notes played in order based on certain set intervals. There are many different types of scales. These are some of the more common scales:
The intervals in each scale are based on whole steps and half steps. Each move from white note to black note and black note to white note is equal to one half step or a semitone. You should also be aware that it is also one half step from E to F and from B to C. When you combine two half steps you get a whole step or a whole tone.
